— "Alma Negra"
Postmodernity is a project made by Alexandra Freitas, who was born in 1995 on Funchal (Madeira Island, Portugal). By growing next to the sea and close to nature. This music drifts between the tides of ambient, drone, electronic, and classical sound. It moves like the sea — profound, melancholic, and yet filled with quiet hope like the aura of a Portuguese soul "Fado" (Artistic Manifesto). Since I was eighteen, I’ve drawn inspiration from William Basinski and his eternal loops — echoes that seem to suspend time itself. To master the loop is to learn stillness: notes breathing without fatigue, circling until they open a meditative space. Each loop becomes a doorway — a safe place for listening and preserving memory. Creating them is an act of devotion, for within repetition lies the fragile balance between sameness and renewal.
